Rage
Originally posted MAR 14, 2022
Oh how it feels so sweet
To bathe in the rage
The rage of unfeeling
The rage of suppression
The rage of the world
Waging war with obsession
Neglected, incomplete
A hysterical tweeting
From birds ne’er heard
Warnings ignored, beginnings begun
Pleading and fighting
To release the unsung
No, no, upon deaf ears
I really can’t let it go
Cornered, dying, I succumb
Wrapping myself up instead
With the nurturing warmth
Of the fellow dead
Suffering under veil
for much to long
Blinded to truth
To welcome relief
I lay
Singing the birdsong
Oh gracious you
Holding me close
Warming these abandoned
Frigid bones
Burning with a heat
I’ve missed for so long
A heat I thought would never come
Burning, yearning
Okay that’s enough
But thats the thing;
Rage, it continues to flame on
Much after the nurturing is gone
Consuming, persevering
Singed I am
Scorching everything it can
Roaring on long after I’ve warmed to death
Disappearing all
And I am not the only one
I am not the only one
